LCROSS mission is an interesting and spectacular one. Unfortunately this spacecraft experienced an abnormal behaviour which resulted in a huge fuel loss. LCROSS team fixed it already and removed emergency status from the mission. They say that spacecraft still has enough fuel to completely finish the mission. Space is a rough place and requires the best technology, let’s hope that mission will be finished and will find water on the Moon! Sorry for small picture — didn’t find the bigger one:

That’s my hubby flying LCROSS, flight director Rusty Hunt. Yes, I’m proud!

If my wife would fly something like LCROSS I would be very proud too! I really hope they will find enough water there for Moon station to be viable idea.

Ivan, you won’t believe: I’ve seen an international space station recently two times. And I’ve seen it with the shuttle just undocked. Mom and I, both. Two very bright satellites flying synchronously on the same motion path, one leading, the second one following, from NE to SW. We walked before a bedtime with mom on the next night and saw the station alone:)
I cannot explain those two satellites somehow else:) I’ve read in news that shuttle has undocked the same certain day we saw it.
