It is difficult to find a space object which influences our life more than Sun. Majority of energy we use including fossil fuels and wind power is the Sun energy if you really think about it. Sun gives us warmth and light. Some scientists even link crop production, ice ages and plague pandemics with the Sun cycles, so you should understand why do we put so much effort in trying to understand how it works.
As they say, video worth a thousand words, so watch this video to learn more about NASA’s Solar research and Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (camera to study “sunquakes”) in particular. I love such short educational videos, you spend just 2 minutes and know more about the world around you (and there is no ads!).
Before I watched this video, I didn’t know that they can look inside the Sun already, what new stuff did you learn?

Only people in space now are on International Space Station, this video is shot by “robots”. Robots do everything in our days — they don’t eat and never tired, much better workers than people ;)
